Murder Your Darlings

Yet another viewpoint on Apple’s surprise announcement that 2009 will be their last Macworld Expo: John Siracusa, of the esteemed Ars Technica, calls the move, by Apple, “fearless”, that a penchant for this sort of quick and decisive action is in Apple’s DNA and is part of the reason they are the successful company they are today.   • Daring Fireball Mac nerdery…and more. John Gruber’s incisive look at Apple, web development, user interface design and various and sundry other subjects. My first stop.
  • Tweetage Wasteland “Confessions of an Internet Superhero”. Sometimes it can get a bit formulaic, yes but the writing. The writing! So good. This is probably the father I am going to be. She’s already been warned.
  • Ignore the Code Lukas Mathis studied Computer Science/Software Engineering and Ergonomics/Usability. He lives in a small cottage in a remote part of the Swiss Alps. He writes on user interface design issues and he does it well.
